Vision Statement
(Our hopes and dreams for the future)

The Goffstown Public Library will be a financially stable, multifunctional, intergenerational community resource center providing accessible services and friendly assistance to all clientele.

Mission Statement
(What we are in the business to do)

The Goffstown Public Library will provide a comfortable place for citizens to access quality materials and programs, enhance cultural awareness and to explore issues of local, national and global interest.

Strategic Goals: 2008

    1. The Board of Library Trustees will convene a group to address the library’s facility needs and forward a proposal for improvement to town government by FY 2012.
    2. The Board of Library Trustees will convene three meetings of town citizens to discuss library needs by FY 2012.

 

 

Goal 2:  The Goffstown Public Library will provide a forum for community agencies and organizations to develop integrated service delivery, to share information on local and regional resources for the coordination of community service agencies.

    1. The Goffstown Public Library will provide methods for agencies and organizations to coordinate service delivery to the community by FY 2010.
    2. The Goffstown Public Library will create an online directory for community agencies and organizations by FY 2009.

 

    1. “Community Contacts” online directory to be updated annually.
    2. Provide groups access to “Community Contacts” for easy listing and updating of information.
    3. Staff will continue to represent library at meetings of local groups and organizations to coordinate efforts in the community.
